We seldom get hail - I don't have a hail pad - sorry! However, when the hail was mostly pea size, from about 5:55 to 6:10, the hail was sparse. The decks looked mostly uncovered as the hail was melting as quickly as the hail was coming down. However, after about 6:10, when the hail switched over to the larger size, the decks quickly became completely covered, to a depth of about twice the size of the hail stones. Several hit and split, showing layers in the core. The larger hail would send water spouts up from the surface of the above-ground pool above the top rail which about 10 inches above the water surface. The pea and rice size hail sent very small spouts up. I have not noticed any damage from the hail. |
