First hail began at 1:50 PM and ended at 2:10 PM. Second hail began at 2:15 PM and ended at 2:20 PM. In both cases hail was mostly rice size, some 0.25 in., white, mixed hard and soft. A third hail began at 2:30 PM and ended at 2:35 and was mostly small and soft (wet snow pellets?). Most frequent lightning was shortly before any precipitation began. Precipitation up to 2:55 is 0.33 with light rain continuing but weakening. Total precipitation to the west of the station (e.g. Hesperus) may be slightly heavier. |
